How Gravadee Verification Works
Understanding the information presented in a Universal Rental Application

The Gravadee Universal Rental Application (URA) is designed to give landlords and property managers greater confidence in the information a prospective renter presents, while reducing unnecessary exposure of the renter's sensitive personal information. Instead of asking a landlord to simply accept information entered by an applicant — or determine whether uploaded financial documents appear authentic — Gravadee uses independent verification services wherever practical.
The purpose is straightforward: give landlords better evidence about the information they are relying upon.
Gravadee does not simply place a blanket “Verified” label on a renter. Verification applies to specific information.
A Gravadee URA does more than display information. Where practical, it identifies:
- what information has been independently confirmed;
- the type of verification performed;
- when the verification occurred;
- a verification reference number;
- information supplied by the renter that has not been independently confirmed; and
- circumstances where verification could not be completed.
Important rental qualification information should be confirmed as close to its original source as reasonably possible. When verification is available, the renter authorizes an independent verification process through an established third-party provider — depending on the information being confirmed, this may include services such as Stripe, Plaid or other qualified verification providers.
The Gravadee standard
Gravadee does not ask landlords to trust information simply because the Gravadee name appears beside it. Our goal is to make the basis for that trust visible: what was confirmed, how it was confirmed, when it was confirmed, what information was not independently confirmed, and what verification event the result relates to.
Better evidence. Less unnecessary exposure. More confidence for both sides.
